When it comes to important or influential people, our expectations of them are often far off from what they are actually like. The same was true for Jesus. Pastor Kim Duey brings a message from Luke that shows that our expectations of Jesus are often far different than what He has planned. While the people of Jerusalem expected Him to come as a conquering King, He planned to come as a lowly servant. They expected Him to save their nation from a corrupt empire, but He planned to save them from sin and death. Their expectations were not big enough to fit God's plan, and too often neither are ours.
